Sierra The First Muse
Partnership of 5 years a lifetime of experience.
Two souls on different paths colliding headfirst into the unknown. We met on mild mannered afternoon where the sun was shining and the weather was tranquil. I walked into the building seeking an interview. I approached the counter asking where I was supposed to be meeting management. There was a tall slender woman in uniform with a face mask on who answered my query and directed me to the designated area.
Little did I know this woman was set to change the trajectory of my entire life. Time had passed since I first met her and I had passed the interview with ease as well as the orientation. Months later I bumped into the woman from the counter. I had not seen her for a time and had wondered what had happened to her as I was told she had been hospitalized. Not knowing if she was deceased or had been let go from the job I had been happy to see that she was alive and well while still being employed.
We spoke for a time and she explained what had happened. Little did I know that this was the beginning of an entirely new chapter in my life. That this woman would change the course of destiny or even perhaps that it was destiny perfectly aligned. Time had gone on and we would speak in passing or proximity of work. Navigating a toxic work environment I began to grow an interest in her. People and places have a funny way of trying to get in between individuals.
I had not known she was interested in me, as well as we were both being reserved for different reasons. She out of being convinced by others I was not interested in her. Myself out of a lack of perceived interest from her. A few more months had passed and I had found the perfect opportunity to pay her my first and genuine compliment based on what she was wearing that accentuated her facial structure perfectly. That compliment was the moment her curiosity was sparked enough to garner her attention. I had been the only one not intensely pursuing her during my employment there. That moment she thought that maybe I was indeed interested.
Needless to say this sparked a timeline that beat impossible odds and the relationship had an electricity that suggested a deeper knowing extended beyond a life time. Now today she is my muse and my partner. She is the standard to which I judge all my works and to which I capture the world through the lens. If I can not see the world with the same intensity and truth to which I see her then I am blind to what the world reveals. She is to be at the top of the pedestal I am building and my framing her is a monument to the devotion of my faith. She is an unshakable pillar that has been blessed upon my life. This is neither the beginning nor the end. This is a life long pursuit.
